Antoinette giancana sons

Antoinette Giancana in her own way, was raised as a member of royalty. The oldest daughter of Mafia chieftain Sam Giancana, she seemed to have every material advantage growing up in a beautiful home in Oak Park. Yet she was always missing and searching for something that most of us take for granted – a father’s unconditional love and approval.

She chronicled her experiences as a girl and young adult in her book, “Mafia Princess,” followed by “JKF and Sam,” an examination of her father’s connection to President Kennedy. She’ll discuss these books at the Eastgate Cafe, 102 Harrison St., Oak Park on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Seating for dinner begins at 6:00 PM. Despite her challenging girlhood, or perhaps because of it, Antoinette learned how to be strong and resilient. She also has a bedrock core of integrity that enabled her to be true to herself in a world where deceit, deception and betrayal were the norm. Blessed with an indefatigable sense of optimism and joie de vivre, she has survived bouts of mental illness, an abusive marriage, a forced abortion and the loss of true love.

Antoinette’s many admirers and friends includes reporters like Bill Curtis, playwrights like Ted May (author of No Witness: Sam Giancana’s Legacy) and law enforcement professionals like Ed Eckhaus, to name just a few. She has also earned the respect and gratitude of educators like David Sam, PhD President of Elgin Community College and hundreds of young people with whom she has shared her story. We hope you’ll join us at the Eastgate for dinner to meet Antoinette, hear her fascinating narrative and read her book for yourself.
